Since my rebirth, I intuitively knew that I was meant for something significant.

At the end of 2018, I hired a career coach to help me find that something professionally. I spent months planting the seeds of my career transition. I watered and fed those seeds with informational interviews, looking inward, and repeatedly stepping out of my comfort zone.

I hit a plateau last summer. Frustration immediately set in. I couldn’t figure out how to connect my areas of interest and a career. During a weekly group call with my career coach, a wonderful woman sent to us a guided manifestation meditation by Gabrielle Bernstein to use as a tool to keep pushing forward in our job searches. Instead of focusing on being stuck, I decided to try to visualize and manifest what I wanted my career to look like, how it felt being in my dream career, and the timeline of my career transition.

After two months of practicing this manifestation meditation daily, my dream job came to me. Also during this time, I was divinely guided to pursue more of Gabby’s work. I picked up her sixth book: The Universe Has Your Back: Transform Fear to Faith*. Each chapter unraveled my ingrained fear-based beliefs, thoughts, and actions. I replaced that fear by surrounding myself with love and focused on strengthening my connection to the Universe. Every morning, I went back to each affirmation that I came across, and when I felt my fear creeping back in, I repeated them again.

I always instantly felt better.

I no longer felt chained by the low-vibe energies of stress, fear, anger, resentment, or judgement. I no longer felt the need to satiate my negativity. I no longer wanted to compare myself to others. I no longer wanted to continue down my current path. Instead, I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and to always surround myself in the loving, high-vibe energy of the Universe.

A chapter in The Universe Has Your Back is dedicated to asking for your sign when you want to know if you’re making the right decision. According to Gabby, your sign is the first thing that comes to mind. I decided to wait until I was in the right head space to choose it. My sign synchronistically came to me in my dreams that night: a sunset. I woke up the next morning in awe and asked the Universe if that was supposed to be my sign. At lunch, I mindlessly scrolled through Instagram. I paused to “like” a picture. When I looked closer, I noticed that it had sunset colors, and the description had the word sunset in it. My sign was confirmed! My heart filled with the familiar warmth of love, and I felt my connection to the Universe strengthen.

I received the offer for my dream job early in January. Before accepting, I turned to the Universe and asked for my sign if accepting the offer and working at that company was the right choice for me. My sunset appeared to me soon after I asked, and the next day, I happily accepted.

My new job was really a dream. I loved everything about it – the company, the people, and the work. I was immersed in creativity. They had a relaxed work environment. I encountered very little stress. I didn’t have to keep track of my time or work any overtime. Our office really felt like a family. I was in a brand-new industry and loved how much I had to learn. I finally felt like I was becoming who I was supposed to be and discovering what my purpose in life was.

Then, COVID-19 happened.

At the end of April, I was laid off, and as that door closed, the Universe unveiled an abundance of new beginnings.
